Hello everyone! Welcome back!
Wow! Long time, no talk! I’ve been extremely busy in the last few months and frankly, I couldn’t find inspiration to write. It was way too long and I’ve missed my blog so much.
However, I am back and I’m ready to write as much as I possibly can! Today I want to talk to you about something that is not beauty related and that is life in general. I’ve been thinking about how you can be on a really good path both professionally and personally and then something comes your way and messes you up completely. And because life can smack us right across the face some times, we may feel the need to start over, leave everything behind and just start fresh, right? But what if you don’t want to leave EVERYTHING behind because you actually like your life but this one thing just doesn’t leave you alone? Well, I’ve been thinking on the topic for quite some time now and it reminded me of a quote that I love, which goes like:
“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
- Bruce Lee
So, you basically need to learn how to adjust to the situation. Being able to adjust to situations is what can get you out of them. If you think about what is happening and what you can do to get through the phase, instead of thinking how bad it is and making yourself miserable, you eventually find a way out. Sometimes things happen around us and they change our day-to-day life but we can’t hold ourselves responsible, unless we’ve done something to provoke the situation. If that’s not the case, then we have to adjust to it and make the best out of it. If you focus on yourself internally and externally, you will keep moving forward. And eventually you will get passed through it.
If you want to know more about how to do that, come back next week for the first of many blog posts on this topic. Stay tuned!
