This post will be a quick one. I am currently on a health kick , you know trying to workout regularly and eating healthy. And since it is all about finding the balance in our life I wonder if you ever thought about adding yoga to your workout routine? If not, you should definitely consider it. Here are some benefits of a yoga practice.
You are going to notice that you are more flexible and you stand tall right after your first yoga session. Why? Because every movement in yoga has to do with stretching, which feels really good once you get the hang of it.
There are certain types of yoga that can strengthen your muscles pretty good. Ashtanga yoga or power yoga are great for muscle tone and core strength. They are also harder to do and that makes them a great addition to your workout routine.
- Better posture
As I already said, strengthening the core leads to more body awareness. By sitting and standing tall, you get a better posture. This is great for the girls, because you automatically look leaner and get this divine posture that always catches the eye.
- Stress reliever
If you have too much going on in your life, yoga can be a great escape from the madness of our hectic lifestyles. Some yoga styles include meditation, which will calm your nerves and you will feel much better afterwards.
- Health improvement
Yoga improves your breathing, can lower the blood pressure and your immune system will function better.
So, I’m not going to tell you that yoga has changed my life completely, because this is a long process. I prefer to be honest and to tell you that you are going to feel a difference but it won’t happen overnight. You have to be patient and to go on your own pace, do it when you feel like doing it. You can start with just ten minutes a day and work your way up. It will be worth it.. 😉
